CrossFit in the Park
Get fresh air and get fit at the same time!

We're bringing CrossFit to our neighbors in the "other" part of Los Angeles - east of the 405 - Beverly Hills, Mid-Cities, Culver City, Mid-Wilshire, Fairfax, etc!

We all spend most of our days trapped inside buildings and cars and not enjoying the beautiful outdoors. Instead, start your day with an invigorating outdoor workout! Don't worry, CrossFit in the absence of gym walls and weight equipment is still CrossFit! The park we are using is Cheviot Hills Park (Rancho Park) - near the corner of Pico & Motor, just south of 20th Century Fox. The park covers many acres and offers a variety of terrain and equipment for us to use in the workouts.

Like our gym classes in Santa Monica, the Cheviot Hills location will challenge participants with athletic, functional exercises, bodyweight calisthenics, weightlifting, and cardiovascular conditioning. While our “weights” might not be kettlebells and dumbbells, we will work on weightlifting techniques and use unconventional weightlifting methods, as well.

Getting Started
CROSSFIT IN THE PARK

Far different than your typical aerobics, step, or spinning class, this is your chance to "go hard, or go home!" Our CrossFit classes are 60 min and consist of multiple components: Warm up, skill practice, movement prep & stretching – followed by THE WORKOUT.

We place a heavy emphasis on mechanics and form to ensure your confidence, safety, and results. You'll be challenged with athletic, functional exercises, bodyweight calisthenics, weightlifting, and cardiovascular conditioning. Don't worry, if you're just getting yourself back into shape and think that it could be too hard, remember that all our workouts are "scalable" based on your level. We regularly make adjustments in the number of repetitions, the amount of weight, and the distance so that everyone can participate!

Being in an outdoor setting offers a huge opportunity for variety in the workouts. The whole park environment will be incorporated into the classes. The philosophy of CrossFit can be applied indoors or outdoors – classes will cover a broad range of skills and offer something different every day.

GETTING STARTED

It's simple – give us a call to schedule an introduction. This is a one-on-one session, done at Cheviot Hills Recreation Area, during which you'll get a chance to learn a lot more about our program and actually experience a workout. It is by appointment only and is a prerequisite for taking a class. Its purpose is to help us serve you better by getting to know your goals and expectations, fitness level, and experience. After your intro, you can choose one of several membership options.
