On Saturday, about 45 of us are going up to give it a whirl. If you're inspired by the video and didn't sign up this year, don't worry - if it's as good as it looks, we'll definitely be going back in '09 - so start making plans! (fyi - make sure your volume is up for the beginning of the video - they did a great job with the voice over a USMC DI with Mel Gibson from Braveheart!)
Today's Workout
3 rounds for time of:
400m run
21 Pull Ups
12 Handstand Push-ups

This is totally off topic from today’s post, but I thought others might find this amusing. Google has posted a link below their main search box (http://www.google.com/search2001.html) that allows you to search their 2001 index. I searched “crossfit” and found nothing that referred to what we understand as ‘CrossFit’.
It got me thinking about how a word has a denotation and a connotation, and that it seems a word gets defined by how it’s used. Are we part of a community which is adding a new word to the human lexicon?
Love the tough guy run - barbed wire, electric fence, ice mud pool, and these guys run it in kilts. I think it should be called the crazy race. Hey Zeb, got a job and I'm contacted starting this Friday till next Saturday but I'll be there in spirit!
