BURPEE CHALLENGE
Today is 33 burpees. Nice... real nice!
"Buy-In" - 561 Burpees
I have 2 Enell's, one bought off the rack and the one in the picture which I had made to my specific sizes. They are really tight (however they do stretch a bit once you start moving around), but they really hold you in AND they last. The other bra that I like because it's seamless under t-shirts is by Moving Comfort and it's called the Fiona http://www.movingcomfort.com/dyn_prod.php?p=350003
I'll never forget my dad giving me a bra talk when I was 17. I was going out dancing and was wearing a flimsy bra and I guess I was bouncing around when I was walking because he said to me, "Dawn, you should wear something that has a bit more support or you gonna be sagging to your waist when your 20." Talk about embarrassing, but he was right... and ever since I've tried all sorts of bras for running, cycling, yoga, basketball etc...so far these are the best I've found.
This is not a topic I thought I'd see here but it's a good one. I've also done a lot of research on sports bras and in addition to the ones Dawn mentioned, found that Champion makes a great underwire sports bra - ie, no uniboob! They frequently have sales so you can get them for as little as $20.
Dawn, I also received that talk from my mother at 12 after "bouncing" down our stairs at home. It left an indelible impression ![]()
(passes out)
I knew it wouldn't be long before we lost Traver on this one.
LOL at Traver's comment!
Anywooo, I was made for this topic, hahaha. Surprisingly, my problem is not with support (I have never bought into the whole droop campaign...if you do enough weightlifting & upper body workouts, the girls hang just fine, thank you very much). My problem is with severe chafing...I'm talking about deep, bloody, scabby outlines of bras, straps, seems...ugh. With as much as I sweat, if undergarments have stitching, they will cut me and leave scars that never go away. The best bras and shelf tops I've found are any of the Capaline ones from Patagonia that have no seams. Athleta also makes some excellent seemless tanks and bras. W's Active Mesh Bra from Patagonia does have stitching on it's straps, but b/c of placement and no seams on the body of the bra, it works well, and is made for larger 'girls'.
While we are on this topic, can we BAN scorpions from our workouts? OUCH!!!
Kathryn, I officially renamed Scorpions to "Titty Twisters" last week. I'm now of the mind that ANY exercise that requires me to put weight on my stomach/chest/pubic bone is completely unnecessary.
Poor Mtanwyck and Jonesy have already felt the fire of my wrath on this one.
It's just....it's just not necessary*!^@ HOLLOW ROCKS FUHEVAH!
I've lost 6% body fat since starting cf, and apparently 3% of that used to fill out my bras. Between that and all the pushups I've been doing, I'll soon look more like Jeremy G. than Dawn. Anyone have a source on pushup, padded sports bras?
I second Colleen's comment on arch rocks, those need to go!
I think I saw something about this on YouBoob.com. Or was that what Andy said to me after seeing my overhead squats?
HMMMM...CROSSFIT tends to make the girls kinda...disappear so ...
I am only visiting the website of my gym. I swear.
That's how my conversation with my boss went today ![]()
As someone who is a 36 D-DD, even when really fit (in other words, the girls don't disappear), I still find the best method for strapping down the girls is two bras: a lift and separate sports bra underneath a uni-boob masher bra (like the Fiona). No other single bra works as well.
*Sigh*
I am glad someone finally brought this topic up. I am a Dcup and refused to get into crossfit because of all the jumping. I have fallen in love with Under Armour's Endure sports bra...it has a front zipper and keeps 'the girls' in place no matter how explosive the movement. The only problem is that Under Armour runs out of stock probably as fast as they list new inventory online
Under Armour has a sports bra and it's supportive? Thanks Dalay I'm going to check that one out too.
here is the scoop: Your breasts dont' have any muscles just something called a Cooper's ligament. Doing exercises is not going to help keep the girls upright. You need a supportive bra and not two just one good one. Remember a good sports bra is essential; it is equipment. I love my Fiona and Maia (adjustable) bras from Moving Comfort. They rock and they only make women's athletic wear so they definitely know what they are talking about. Good topic.
TWO VS ONE
I have tried all of the bras mentioned here in single, and they don't give the same support as two. I will wear one bra for non-impact activities, but if I have to do double unders, for instance, I have to wear two bras or I just don't get the support that I need. Again, I am a DD, so it's a real challenge.
Title 9 has a wide selection of sports bras of varying carrying capacity and anti-jiggle-age properties, even ones the will replace the two-bra method.

Honey, I'm 42. I've seen just about every incarnation of a Sports Bra in my day. Over the years, I have ordered everything that Title 9 carries. I lived in their store in Portland once they opened Bricks and Mortar. Like I said, there are several bras that are passable for moderate activity, but if you're really going to be bouncing, and you've got DDs, I still haven't found a single bra that comes close to replacing the double.
I tried one of those and it seems to be pretty nice, but have you tried female libido enhancer yet? sex experts reviewed and came up with these top 5 enhancers.
